DESPITE OF SOLAR ENERGY'S POTENTIAL, AGRI FARMERS COULD NOT MAKE USE OUT OF IT. EXPLAIN THE MEASURES NEED TO BE TAKEN BY GOVERNMENT.

.
.
It was said that helping farmers to know more about solar energy and implementing such measures can actually double the farmer's income (ASHOK DALWAI COMMITTEE). But, the problem is that using current methods in farming practices can never lead them in doubling income by 2022.
HOW THE IMPROVEMENT POSSIBLE?

1. The improvement could be possible with the adoption of solar pumps instead of diesel pumps in the field for irrigation
2. Installing solar trees of about 10 feet can produce the required amount of energy needed
3. The govt can provide such awareness and implementation help through different subsidized schemes including KUSUM
4. Ministry of new and renewable energy is the nodal agency in implementing measures related to these
5. National solar mission by the govt of India and state govt is a new in intiative in addressing such issueds
6. IREDA should also involve in giving term loans to farmers in using solar energy
7. Awareness programs
.
.
ADVANTAGES
1. Solar energy will be available abundantly and cause no pollution
2. It does not require any kind of transmission through wires
3. Long lasting equipments
4. Reduced usage of electricity
5. Surplus production can be sold out through which earnings can be improved
CHALLENGES
1.More capital is needed in implementing such solar trees in the fields
2.The equipments are highly depend on imports
3. Local markets will erode and need to rely on chinese products
4. Indian farms are not having such large area to install more solar trees

Strong financial measures are needed to tackle financial problems. New policy measures should be formulated in the vision of enhanced use of renewable energy and more research and development in the field of solar energy will push the current annadatas to urjadatas.
