DESPITE OF INDIA HAVING HIGHER GROWTH RATES, STILL INDIA IS WITNESSING LESS INCLUSIVE DEVELOPMENT DUE TO LACK OF PROPER MINIMUM WAGE POLICY. SUGGEST MEASURES TO FIX IT.

.
.
India is growing at rate of 7-8% even though other are growing through slowdown but still low wage inequality remains a obstacles. The recent minimum wage bill can spur inclusive and sustainable growth.
Why still Growth has not increased wages ?
1) No uniformity
2) Labour laws are outdated
3) No Data to track how many informal labour are in unorganised sector

How Minimum wage policy can targeted poor and and sustainable growth
1) First, It will provide uniformity and a single law
2) A minimum pay for labour will ensure wage equality throughout India(Art. 14,15)
3) Minimum wage will provide a sustainable money to improve their living standard
4) It would reduce migration and hence would provide closeness to families
5) It will also promote gender equality(SDG 5 - gender equality)
6) It would promote growth and demand in economy
.
.
Challenges
1) Labour being in concurrent list needs states approval also
2) A central minimum wage can be high for some states which dont have much industrial activities
3) Implementation since No Data on Labours
4) Labours may work with less zeal due to minimum wage

Though Government new minimum wage bill is step in right direction but necessary safeguard needs to be in place like National Data , a step in wage equality throughout Country and would a long way.
