FOR EFFECTIVE COMPETITION IN THE SPACE ECONOMY, PRIVATE INVESTMENT INTO SPACE IS INEVITABLE. ANALYZE?

.
.
India has established itself as a global player in space economy since establishment of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) in 1969.
The rapidly expanding space economy require India to deregulate the space sector for private players for following reasons
1) Private sector can support role of ISRO in its core missions of space exploration by developing payloads, lauch vehicles etc.
2) It's important for capacity building, innovation and investment in the space sector
3) Delegating routine work to private players will reduce time for future missions of ISRO
4) Alternative space assets of private entities can be used in case of emergency

.
.5) Larger presence in space will serve strategic purpose for India
6) India's capabilities of cheaper launch of satellite will put forth competition to other agencies
7) Domestic services related to communication, remote sensing and navigation will also be enhanced
Private entities such as SpaceX has been very successful in its endeavour by bringing innovation. India should allow private entities while establishing independent regulator to protect its security and provide ecosystem of growth for these players. It will put India into path of being global leader in space technology and market.
